Scarification is the action of removing the thatch layer and debris from the surface of the lawn. Thatch is a build up of dead plant material, grass clippings and moss combining to prevent water, oxygen and nutrients from reaching that vital area, the root zone.

The ST45H is fitted with fixed offset blades for fine turf and over-seeding, whilst the SCF50 has flail action blades for harsher conditions. Both machines are designed to effectively remove thatch and promote healthy growth.
