COVID-19 Coronavirus Customer Update
All of you will be aware of the ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19. Hire It has been closed to normal business for approaching six weeks, during this period we have been fielding calls and emails to keep in touch with Customers. We have now taken the decision to reopen on Monday 4th of May albeit with many changes in place in accordance with Government recommendations to help protect one another from transmitting Coronavirus/COVID-19. This of course is not without risk so with that in mind we will be operating on a telephone/email click and collect type basis Where possible, also criteria of how Customers are dealt with will vary to a degree.
***NO CUSTOMERS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE SHOP OR YARD AREA***
We will expect all customers to wear gloves and a face mask, if you do not have both please do not get out of your vehicle when you arrive at Hire It.
All Customers must distance themselves from each other and Hire It Staff by at least a minimum distance of 2M.
We will place a line of cones across the front of the building leading to the front door where you will be able to wait in turn whilst keeping a distance of at least 2M from the next Customer. This process will be made easier/quicker if orders are processed in advance so adopting the telephone/email approach is advised for all Customers.
ACCOUNT HOLDERS: If you have placed an order in advance we will have your goods ready for collection at the side of the building leading to the yard. We ask that rather than joining the line of waiting Customers that you please stay in your vehicle when you arrive and telephone Hire It on 01562 744994 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
to acknowledge that you have arrived, we will then place your goods with a delivery note in a designated place for you to take. If the goods are heavy and you can’t carry/lift them yourself then we would ask that you prepare your vehicle to be loaded then once you have sat back in your vehicle two members of Hire It Staff will place the goods in your vehicle.
ACCOUNT HOLDER RETURNS/OFF HIRES: Please telephone in advance where possible so we can be prepared for your arrival. When you arrive please stay in your vehicle and telephone Hire It on 01562 744994 and we will arrange for Hire It Staff to accept your returned goods.
NON ACCOUNT HOLDERS: If you would like to place an order you will need to telephone/email Hire It on 01562 744994 Email: email@example.com
and provide us with Your personal details ID(Of the person that will be collecting the goods)a Credit Card number to make the reservation and the registration number of the vehicle you will be driving to collect your order. When you get to the front of the queue at Hire It you will be prompted to hold your ID and Credit Card against the window so we can check your details.
ACCEPTED ID: Photo Driving License accompanied by two of the following: Recent(No more than three months) Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Insurance Document etc. Passports are useful for Photo ID but do not carry an Address. If you have Hired from us before we will still ask to see Photo ID and at least one recent (No more than three months) Bill, Document etc. Receipts with your name and address on from other shops will not be accepted as official proof of ID.

For those of you that may need items demonstrated this is going to have to be limited because of safe distancing so please decide in advance if you are happy with this in terms of your own experience or skill levels. If the goods are heavy and you can’t carry/lift them yourself then we would ask that you prepare your vehicle to be loaded then once you have sat back in your vehicle two members of Hire It Staff will place the goods in your vehicle.
NON ACCOUNT HOLDERS: We ask that you refrain from visiting Hire It before 10AM to ease the pressure on everybody whilst we serve Account Customers and get to grips with these new measures.

and we will arrange for Hire It Staff to remove the returned goods from your vehicle. We will then check the returned goods off and then take payment from the Credit Card that you provided.
WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CASH FOR DEPOSITS OR FINAL PAYMENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
